Bugs+ Free Update Coming Soon
A free update in Bugs+ is coming soon at 19th November 2025, with some new features coming that may totally change how you play Bugs+. Let’s talk about what we will be adding. Even though Bugs+ is free, we call it a free update to confirm to users they don’t need to pay anything to unlock the features of the update when it releases.
We are introducing 8 new major features that will totally change how you use Bugs+, plus 2 ease of use improvements, but in a good way. This makes a total of 10 useful features. You will definitly want to see this! It gotta help you unleash the power of Bugs+!
Difficulty Setting
We will be adding a difficulty setting to Bugs+. This lets you change how hard or easy it is to play Bugs+. When the update is released, you will be able to go to the Account tab on the sidebar (the person icon), press Settings, press Change Difficulty and set a difficulty. You will be asked to set one when you set up Bugs+ or when you get the update.

Easy
The Easy option will:
If you start Bugs+ (but not if you set it to easy later) with the easy option, you will get a random 7 cards with this as the rarity - 3 Common cards, 2 Uncommon cards, and 2 Rare cards as a boost to start with.
You will have an easier time getting rewards from quizzes. 1 correct answer will be added to the results making it easier to get quiz or event rewards that depend on how many correct answers you have.
More value for less Bug Points or Stars - You will get an extra 1 trading card added to each bulk trading card pack you get from the Shop.
Bug Points, Stars, and Levels & XP are easier to get more of - When you get in-game currency, you will get a small extra bonus added to that amount.
But there is a catch - Some limited time events, competition-based features, or other things may require extra work to unlock or get rewards from, or you may won’t be able to use them at all until you change it to another difficulty. Some normal features may be locked until you change your difficulty to Normal or More Involved.
You won’t be able to switch to Easy mode after unlocking one or more of these:
Level 85 or more
Unlocking some major parts in the game and confirming may lock Easy mode earlier.
If you are on Easy mode and unlock one or more of the things above, you will be moved to Normal Mode.
Normal
This is the default setting, and it is the normal gameplay experience that was and is already available. It will keep all the normal gameplay features, and won’t change anything for normal play.
More Involved
This is the hardest setting for players who want to make the game harder while truly unleashing the power.
The More Involved option will:
Quizzes will have a 30 to 50 second time limit based on the content and length
You may loose Levels over time if you have not been truly unleashing the power of Bugs+ Features that are meant to help you progress through Bugs+
The Trading Card limit will decrease to 65 Trading Cards instead of 85 trading cards.
But, this comes with rewards - using the More Involved mode will get you some Bug Points every now and then.
You will need to unlock it by getting Level 25 or higher, then you can make a decision about if you want to turn on More Involved.
Trading Card Limit
To encourage users to avoid clutter, there will be a Trading Card limit when this free update launches. It is different based on the difficulty level the user set. When you reach the limit, you will only be able to use the Collection and refund trading cards.
What is the Trading Card limit?
If you use the Easy or Normal mode, the limit will be 85 Trading Cards.
If you use the More Involved mode, the trading card limit will be 65 trading cards.
Check the progress through the limit
To check the progress towards limit plus any warnings after you closed the popup, when the update launches, clicking on the Collection tab on the sidebar (the SD card icon), where you see how many cards you have, there will be a progress bar. It changes color, changes the look, adds text and other things as you go towards the limit.
Limit Alerts along the way
We won’t just limit the amount of trading cards you have without notice - we will give you clear warning, like this:
You have 50 trading cards or more (or 35 if you have More Involved on) - We will give you a popup warning, plus you will get a yellow warning progress bar on your Collection.
You have 70 trading cards or more (or 50 if you have More Involved on) - We will give you a more serious and detailed warning popup, plus you will get a red progress bar on your collection
You have reached the trading card limit - You will get a full screen popup asking you to refund some trading cards to continue collecting. This is a perfect chance for you to improve your collection the next time. If you don’t, you will only be able to look at your Collection and refund trading cards, nothing else. The AI refund assistant, if provided will also be available during that time. It’s like a full lockdown with a chance of clean up your Collection. If needed, a detailed tutorial on how to refund cards will also be provided.
Any other options?
Yes, you can also optionally reset your collection. This will only reset trading cards, nothing else. But, the payoff is time saved, and also you will get lots of trading cards in return - 30 Rare cards and 10 legendary. Warning that this may trigger a clutter alert if you have Refund Notifications, or this may cause general clutter issues.
Gift Boxes
After updating to the free update coming soon, as you progress through Bugs+, you will get Gift Boxes. Gift Boxes are bundles of rewards you normally get, usually Bug Points, Stars, Levels & XP, trading cards, daily quest refreshers, the crafting materials that we will talk about soon and more. They can be received from daily quests, limited time events, but more frequently, plus as a gift for levelling up in Bugs+.
They will popup on the screen when unlocked, with info on the rewards, and a button to claim them.
If you get daily quest refreshers but did not unlock the feature yet from leveling up, you won’t get that specific daily quest refresher set, and it won’t mention it, but you will still be able to get new daily refreshers once unlocked.
They also may contain helpful tips or information in the game, accessible from the new Tips menu by going to the More tab on the sidebar (the 3 dots icon) and pressing Unlocked Tips, Tricks and Info. They may not always be tips, they may also be information, facts, and even a guide for getting a specific valuable trading cards (like a treasure map, and we mean it, you will absolutely love it), and the tips you can look at straight away, plus use it as a helpful reference or tip later.
Make sure to press Claim Rewards, since rewards from Guft Boxes won’t be auto claimed.
Tips Camera
This is a total game changer! You may find tips around while you are playing Bugs+, they can be anywhere, even in your collection, when you are playing quizzes, even in settings, and any unexpected area. However, you will only be able to see the tips if you use your Tips Camera.
Just like the tips inside Gift Boxes, they may not always be tips, they may also be information, facts, and even a guide for getting a specific valuable trading cards (like a treasure map, and we mean it, you will absolutely love it).
Pressing on the tip will let you take a photo of the info. After pressing on it, make sure to press Snap A Photo Of This Tip.
Out of random, one of these may happen:
A Tip may appear on your screen, and added to the Unlocked Tips, Tricks & Info area. This is the most common thing that we think will happen.
If you are lucky, a Gift Box will appear on your screen, along with a Tip appearing on your screen, and being added to the Unlocked Tips, Tricks & Info area.
Or, the camera may not snap the photo correctly. If that happens, you won’t get any tip or Gift Box. Don’t worry, you can still find more tips. You will also get 275 Bug Points as a sorry gift for the photo not being taken properly. This happens as random, just like other ones.
Jut like tips in gift boxes and the go-to guide will get for updating within 2 months, you can see your unlocked tips at the Unlocked Tips, Tricks & Info area.
But, the catch is that you need to unlock the Tips Camera first to take photos of tips. To unlock it, you need to get Level 16. Upon getting Level 16, you will get a Gift Box with 650 Bug Points, 5 Stars, plus the Tips Camera that you needed to unlock, and a guide about using the camera you can read right away and reference to it later. If you already have Level 16 or more and then update, you will get the Tips Camera straight away, plus the guide, but not in the form of a gift box.
Crafting System
We will be adding a crafting system to Bugs+ in the next free update. You will be able to find crafting materials from Gift Boxes, then you can craft trading cards, and in-game items. We may introduce exclusive items or trading cards that you can only get from the crafting system. You will be able to use the crafting materials by going to the More tab on the sidebar (the 3 dots icon), then press Material Exchange.
However, crafting has a time limit, based on how valuable the resource you are crafting (we make it based off rarity, sometimes valuable things is cheap, which is good). And, there is a limit on how much you can craft at once.
What you can make with Material Exchange:
Currently, you will be able to craft:
Trading Cards (you can pick which one you want to craft, which is a big highlight)
Daily quest refreshers (if unlocked)
Stars
Large sets of Bug Points
Bundles of Tips (available in 3 or 6 tip packs)
Guaranteed High-Value Info Guide (this is the treasure map we mentioned, crafting this gets you one treasure map guide)
Immediate Refund Skip Vouchers - Comes in packs of 2, although rarely, as a special event we may increase it to a 4 voucher value pack (any special events containing the 4 voucher value pack is not confirmed yet). This is a new feature we are adding which lets you skip the refund timer, it’s provided as a Bug Points alternative. It will appear as a payment option when looking at the In A Rush on a newer version confirmation screen.
Social Vouchers - we will get that soon
How to craft an item
Once the free update is released and you update to the latest version, you can craft an item by following these steps:
Go to Material Exchange by going to the More tab on the sidebar (the 3 dots icon)
Tap Craft An Item
There will be a list of items that can be crafted, what’s being crafted right now (if any), plus how many materials you have, so press the item from the list that you want to craft
Press Craft Now to start the crafting timer.
How long does it take to craft, and how many materials does each one cost?
The crafting timer ticks offline and online, so you don’t need to keep the window open to craft an item completely, but you can still play Bugs+ during that time if you want.
The materials required depends on how rare the item is. When you use materials, the materials will be taken away to do the crafting, but if you cancel you will get a full refund.

Will I be able to rush the timer?
Yes, we will be introducing a system where you can also skip the timer, a bit like the refund timer. You will be able to pay an extra 6 materials to rush it if you want.
If you want to rush a timer, you will be able to follow these steps:
Go to Material Exchange by going to the More tab on the sidebar (the 3 dots icon)
Tap the Crafts in Progress button
Tap the crafting session you want to rush
Press Rush The Timer
Confirm to pay the fee and skip the timer by pressing Confirm Rush
Cancel the crafting session
If you change your mind, you will be able to cancel the crafting session and get a full refund.
Follow these steps to cancel the crafting session if you want or need to:
Go to Material Exchange by going to the More tab on the sidebar (the 3 dots icon)
Tap the Crafts in Progress button
Tap the crafting session you want to cancel
Press Cancel Crafting & Get A Full Refund
Confirm to pay the cancel the timer and get the refund by pressing Cancel Now
Will I be able to craft multiple things at once?
Yes, you will be able to, but there is a limit that can be upgraded. You can do up to 3 upgrades to increase the 2 items limit. Plus, some upgrades include faster timers.
Here is the limits:
No Upgrades Applied: Craft up to 2 items at once
One Upgrade Applied: Craft up to 3 items at once
Two Upgrades Applied: Craft up to 4 items at once, plus each crafting timer will be reduced by 15 minutes (won’t instantly rush Common card crafting, that is not included)
Three Upgrades Applied (MAX): Craft up to 5 items at once, plus each crafting timer will be reduced by 30 minutes (won’t instantly rush crafting that takes 40 minutes or less)
Every upgrade requires 12 materials to make. Follow these steps to make an upgrade.
Go to Material Exchange by going to the More tab on the sidebar (the 3 dots icon)
Tap the Upgrade Crafting Limits button
Confirm that you want to make an upgrade.
Will I be able to check on my materials?
Yes, you will, directly from the Material Exchange menu, there should be an amount of materials you will get.
What if I need some quick materials but don't have time to open Gift Boxes?
You can craft Material Packs using your Bug Points & Stars, but it is slow and you may not get much, to encourage using Gift Boxes.
To do this, follow these steps:
Go to Material Exchange by going to the More tab on the sidebar (the 3 dots icon)
Tap the Ways To Get Materials button
Tap Buy Materials using in-game currency
Choose what you want to pay with - Bug Points or Stars
Tap on an offer. We change the conversion system regularly, so for example, if there is a 1000 Bug Points to 30 materials offer, and a 50 Bug Points to 3 materials offer today, it may be a different offer tomorrow.
Buying materials with Bug Points or Stars will only show in Ways To Get Materials or in Bugs+ In VR if you have less than 55 Materials.
About the Portable Crafting Table
A new item as part of the Crafting System, we are adding in the free update is a Portable Crafting Table. It is available from the Bug Point Shop for only 2000 Bug Points. Unlocking it once, will unlock it for the lifetime of the Portable Crafting Table.
The Portable Crafting Table has lots of catches and limits, but it may help you in a quick rush situation, which is part of unleashing the power of Bugs+.
To open it, you can press the C button 3 times to bring up the Portable Crafting Table. On Bugs+ In VR, you can go to the Action Bar and press Portable Crafting Table.
Here is a list of the available features in the Portable Crafting Table:
Start Crafting - Here you can open a mini window where you can start crafting items and select things to craft. But, the catch is that you can only craft Trading Cards that are Common, Uncommon, or Rare, Daily Quest Refreshers, Bug Points bundle of 1000, or Tip Bundles of 3.
Rush All Timers - Here you can Rush Legandary, Ultra Legandary or limited Cards quickly without closing off the menu, or any other item if you don’t care about the window closing or not. Rushing other cards will close off the menu.
Upgrade Crafting Limits - Here you can upgrade your crafting limits remotely. You can only do this for the first two upgrades, then the 3rd upgrade will close off what you are doing and take you to Material Exchange to show a celebration message.
Open Material Exchange - This is your quick portable portal to Material Exchange. No matter where you are, you can open Material Exchange.
Call Community Crafting Meeting - This will remotely call a Community Crafting Meeting from where rather you are in the Unleash HQ. Can only be used in Unleash HQ.
Cash In Materials For Community Crafting - This is the only option available when a Community Crafting session is in progress. This lets you cash in Materials from weather you are on in the Unleash HQ. Can only be used when a Community Crafting session is in progress in an Unleash HQ.
However, after 18 unleashes, the Portable Crafting Table will automatically break and smash itself. This means, you will be prompted to get a new one, and you can’t use it until you go to the Bug Point shop and spend your Bug Points on it. However, 18 uses is a great deal!
Bugs+ In VR
We are happy to introduce that Bugs+ has now been expanded to VR headsets. When the update releases, to get started with VR, you will need a phone with a browser, nothing else. No expensive gear, no headsets, but it is still very immersive after our testing. Bugs+ in VR is not a required feature, but still more than an add on.
When the update releases, to use VR, you will need:
We aim to make VR more accessible to users, including you. You need very little things to start the setup, but you will get very high quality immersive features, which is our promise.
You will need:
A BugID (also known as an account)
A computer with Bugs+ and logged into with a BugID which you will use to start the setup with
A phone with a browser and a front camera. No need for dedicated VR Goggles, Phone VR Headsets, and no need for the latest model (you can still use that but you don’t need it)
A safe place to play Bugs+ In VR in. This either means making a small to medium area to play in, or sitting down. If you don’t have one, set one up now.
How Do I Put On A Bugs+ In VR Headset?
Simply hold your phone near your face but not too close, and make it feel immersive. Please put the brightness down before doing this since it will hurt your eyes if you don’t. Simple as that, no controllers, no goggles needed. We have proven this is still 99.9% VR and thats why we called it VR. The other 0.1% is that there is no goggles strapped to your face, but it is still immersive.
How to setup Bugs+ in VR:
When the update releases, these steps will work. Follow these steps to setup VR:
Go on your computer and open Bugs+
Go to the Account tab on the sidebar (the person icon) and press Bugs+ in VR Settings & Setup
Press Setup Bugs+ In VR
Tap I Have A Phone
Your computer will show a link that you will need to enter in your browser. Type that in on a browser of your choice, on your phone. Make sure to bookmark, add the page to your Home Screen, or remember the page since that is the go-to page for accessing VR, and if you loose it, you may need to get a new link.
Then, press Next on your computer and you will get a code. Enter that code on your phone on the screen you are on and wait for it to say Press Next On Your Computer. Then, press Next on your computer. It will connect, then press I’ve Connected on your phone.
Approve the Camera permission when it pops up. We need this to make it so you can still control the VR (using your head) without controllers, and we won’t spy on you.
On the screen that says Put Your Phone In Your VR Headset and what that means, start doing that. Simply hold your phone near your face but not too close, and make it feel immersive. Please put the brightness down before doing this since it will hurt your eyes if you don’t.
Put on your VR headset. Now, lets learn how to select and press buttons in VR. A dot will appear in the middle of the screen. Just move your head to move the dot, then make the dot over a button you want to press, and wait for the 2 second mini-sized countdown where the dot is located. Or, connect a Bluetooth controller and press the A button on your controller to confirm the blue dot without the countdown, if one is connected.
There will be a short tutorial about interacting in VR. The first part of the tutorial is selecting items. Look at the OK button for 2 seconds, or press it with the controller.
The second part is the important safety info. Read it, then look at the I Agree button for 2 seconds or select it with your controller.
The last tutorial step is to learn how to go back to the Home area. It will tell you how. To do this, press the Home button that shows near the bottom of the thing you are doing. You will need to use this to go back to the Home area after doing something.
Your VR is ready for use! Feel free to switch between your computer and VR anytime.
You only need to do this setup once, but you may need to do it again if you Unpair or setup a different phone.
How will the user experience immersive in VR?
Here are some of the things that make using Bugs+ In VR immersive.
Immersive Collection Experience - For example, selecting a card will show the card up close to you. Also, refunding cards will feel more immersive.
The Final 8 Second Siren Countdown - In the last 8 seconds of a refund started in Bugs+ In VR, the 8 second siren will fill the virtual environment. It will make the siren noise, show sirens blaring in the environment, and show an action panel. It’s a full screen immersive time sensitive moment.
Enhanced Experiences, now in Bugs+ In VR - Inspired by Hub Mode, some Enhanced Experiences will be added due to the bigger and more immersive area. For example, the questions and choices will appear on the left, and the high quality big bug image will show on the right, no Hub Mode required.
Immersive Notifications - As soon as you get a Real time Notification, it will appear in front of you. Not all notifications will support it to make it less distracting, only notifications relevant now.
Do Tasks In Bugs+ In VR - Bugs+ will feel immersive in VR. Even while in a non immersive experience while in VR, we have taken the time to redesign the buttons in VR so they feel like your personal Bugs+ command center, and the buttons feel more immersive in VR. Instead of static and boring buttons, the buttons will be in different areas of the screen to optimize immersion, and will have a more immersive layout.
Your Immersive Environment - When you are not immersed in full screen experiences on Bugs+ In VR, your Immersive Environment will show up. It is like your home or head quarters for your Bugs+ In VR unleashage sessions. Here, you will be able to do tasks in VR, check out and launch parts of Bugs+ and more. Immersive Objects will also appear there, which are little items that can help you while not in a full screen experience or give you information.
Floating Tips - The Tips may float sometimes around you, and you can press on it to snap a photo. We have redesigned this to feel more immersive.
Immersive Material Exchange - Opening Material Exchange in Bugs+ In VR will be immersive. There will be a workshop table, and it looks like you are actually crafting. This is a game changer for people who want crafting to be immersive, and want to unleash the power of Bugs+ In VR!
Interact with other users and friends in VR - With our new social features, you can connect with your friends, and meet new users in Bugs+ In VR.
Immersive Notifications - Immersive Notifications will appear right in front of you and are different from the built in notifications that is included in every Bugs+ application. You can turn them off and on from the Action Bar, or from Settings. They are on by default, and you will never miss the time to unleash the power of Bugs+ In VR.
And Much More - We will be adding more along the way, so stay tuned!
Will All Features Be Available In Bugs+ In VR?
Not everything, but most things. This is to prevent Bugs+ In VR from crashing.
How Do I Even Control Bugs+ In VR?
There are two main ways to control the experience and press buttons.
A dot will appear in the middle of the screen. Just move your head to move the dot, then make the dot over a button you want to press, and wait for the 2 second mini-sized countdown where the dot is located. Or, connect a Bluetooth controller and press the A button on your controller to confirm the blue dot without the countdown, if configured.
How can I change Bugs+ In VR Settings?
Simply go to the Settings tab on the sidebar (the gear icon) that will appear on VR. There is no Account tab in Bugs+ In VR, instead we replaced it with an exclusive tab.
There is multiple sections in Bugs+ In VR Settings, including:
Immersion Level - Here you can set how immersed you want to be. By default if you don’t change it is More Immersion. You can set it to Less Immersion (things may not be immersive as documented) or More Immersion. Both are very safe anyways, so you are less likely to get hurt.
Immersive Notifications - This lets you set if Immersive Notifications will show up or not. You can set it to Immersive Notifications and Normal Notifications or Normal Notifications Only. Normal notifications are the ones you can see from the Notification bell on the Home tab in the sidebar (the house icon), and the ones that you can see on all your devices, but don’t pop up. This is on by default.
Homepage Environment - Here you can set the Immersive Environment, turn on Show Trading Cards Count On Homepage or manage immersive objects.
Show Trading Cards Count On Homepage - This is located on your Home Area, so not a seperate area in Settings, but we wanted to show it off anyway. This is the familiar feature where you can show the trading cards count on your homepage if you want. This is off by default.
Environment setup - Switch boundaries and more specially for your VR unleashage space and environment.
Unpair - This unpairs the headset from the BugID and takes you back to the Headset setup screen. This will also reset the Bugs+ In VR settings for the headset.
How does Bugs+ In VR enforce safety?
Reminders to Take A Break every 20 minutes. This will show up on your VR experience, and may temporally pause what you are doing and to dismiss it you need to wait 6 seconds. When you do this, you should take a break, and it is recommended. The Take A Break reminders can’t be turned off.
VR Safety Tips may appear as a tip while using the Tips Camera. This is an occasional event and does not happen all the time. The safety tip will also be saved to your Unlocked Tips, Tricks & Info area just like other tips. If the system chooses a VR Safety tip, the photo will always snap with a gift box.
How do I unpair Bugs+ In VR?
On the VR, go to the Settings tab on the sidebar (the gear icon)
Press Unpair
Press Next
Press Confirm & Unpair Bugs+ In VR
Note that unpairing will remove mentions of using VR on your computer and unpair it, but it will remove the Bugs+ In Vr settings from the VR headset. You will be able to set it up after or later on, or stop using it if you want.
Why are suggestions to go on my Bugs+ In VR headset showing on my computer?
Sometimes we suggest that you should go on your Bugs+ In VR headset will appear, since the expirence may be immersive in VR, and we want you to try it. This is just a reminder for you. To get rid of it, you need to Unpair the headset, but if you have the headset paired, its still a good idea to keep the suggestions since they are not annoying.
Recenter Your View
You may need to recenter if
Parts of the screen aren’t in front of you or you have to turn to see them.
The dot in the middle is acting a bit odd and it usually does not.
You can’t find the dot.
You can't see the menu or cursor at all.
How to recenter your view: To recenter your view, go outside the boundary, then go back in your boundary, and press Recenter. Make sure to do this safely. Or, press the Action Menu bar that appears somewhere on your view. Then a menu will appear with some options. The menu will disappear after a few seconds as well.
Quickly change and access common features & settings while immersed in Bugs+ In VR
You may want to change settings, but you may also be immersed on in something time sensitive, but you can use this anytime. To quickly change and access things, press look down to see a Star icon (it will appear next to the Home icon) that appears somewhere on your view. Then a menu will appear with some options. To close the menu press the X icon.
You can change these without going anywhere else:
Recenter View - Recenter your view quickly.
Immersion Level - Quickly Change your Immersion level to either Less Immersion or More Immersion without leaving the menu.
Immersive Notifications - Quickly turn on or off Immersive Notifications, like if you are ready to get them or don’t want to be distracted.
Portable Crafting Table - This lets you use the functions of the Portable Crafting Table item. Only shows if you have the item in your inventory.
Respawn - Appearing on only Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms, this lets you respawn back to the main area, the Menu, without leaving. Only appears in Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms.
Respawn & Leave - This Leaves the Unleash HQ or Unleash Room and respawns back to the Menu. Only appears in Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms.
Investigate & Report - This lets you Report another user who is being bad. Only appears in Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms.
Share Experience - This lets you share (or stop sharing) your Immersive Full Screen Experience with friends. Only appears in Unleash Rooms.
Homepage - If you are in an immersive experience where you can’t see the house icon, you can use this to go back to the main menu of Bugs+ In VR. This won’t show when you are in the main menu or when a house icon for going to the main menu appears.
Open Settings - Open the Settings tab for more control. Note that this will get out of whatever you are doing, and takes you to the Settings tab.

About the Immersive Material Exchange
With the Immersive Material Exchange in Bugs+ In VR, you can experience the Material Exchange just like a crafting workshop.
Immersive Environments & Homepage Environment
Immersive Objects in your Immersive Environment
You can add widgets that you can check while in the Home area. You can see them by selecting Show Widgets in the right. These are called Immersive Objects. They may be able to let you take action quickly, or give you helpful information. These are inspired by Hub Mode widgets. You can also check these while immersed as well.
About the Home Area, In Bugs+ In VR
The menu in Bugs+ In VR is called the Home Area. This is also known as the sidebar, but it is not really a sidebar anyway. This shows when you are not in either an immersive or non immersive menu activity. Here, names of tabs that usually appear on the sidebar will show, plus buttons to quickly go to some other experiences. They are spread out next to each other in rows, with 3 per row. The first row is the some sidebar buttons, which is Collection, Community and more. The second row lets you open some experiences that people normally open. The third row is a smaller row, it has a few buttons like Settings, notifications, Bugs+ Newsstand and sometimes some more.
If you were told to go to something on the sidebar, like from a guide, and you are doing it in Bugs+ In VR, launch it from the Home Area, since that is the same thing, if you are not in the Home area, open the home area.
While immersed or in a non immersive activity, if you want to go to the Home Area, look down to the Home icon, and look at it for 2 seconds or select it with your controller.

Social Features
This is a game changer for interaction! For the first time in Bugs+, we are introducing features to help you connect with friends and new non-scam people. To do this, we are introducing a set of interaction and social features in Bugs+ that you can access as soon as November 19 hits and you update. It will be available on the desktop version, with an immersive (and very immersive as well) version available on Bugs+ In VR.
What social features are you adding?
We are introducing the following social features:
The 3 Meet Up Areas
Unleash HQ - In Unleash HQ, you can interact with other users, in a dedicated Hub Space. Each Unleash HQ can hold up to 9 users. It is a pretty wide space, and for the first time, there are arrows that you can look at for 2 seconds to move.
Unleash Rooms - You can invite up to 2 to 4 other friends from your Friends List to a Unleash Room. You can interact with them, and you can even look at information together, do quizzes together, talk to each other using chat (we promise that we have strict chat rules with no swearing and no abuse), and even watch someone else do a task or gather around a Immersive Material Exchange.
Unleash Worlds - Unleash Worlds are public, time limited, and user created meet up areas. This is similar to Unleash Worlds, but users can customize it a lot.
More Useful Social Features
Friends List - You can Friend your friends, and people that you liked meeting up with and want to interact with more, and invite them to Unleash HQ, Unleash Rooms, and more.
Bugs+ Scrolling Feed - When you craft something, finish a quite big refund, level up at to a notable milestone, get limited time cards or do something pretty big, your friends can scroll through their Bugs+ Scrolling Feed to see your and other friend’s progress, and send you encouragement notifications, and the other way around as well.
Shared Tasks & Gameplay - When starting a craft, refund, get a Gift Box or want to team up in a limited time event, you can split up the rewards between you and friends (sharing is caring, and is now the shared unleashage key) and give your friends updates on it. You can do this through the “Share Rewards” feature if you have friends on your Friends List. You can add up to 2 other friends (so that means you can have up to 3 users getting the rewards at once including you).
How can I access the Unleash HQ?
You can access the Unleash HQ, a place to meet up with public users, by using a menu item. Here are the instructions based on what device you are using.
If you are using a Computer, follow these steps:
On the Home tab on the sidebar (the house icon) press Unleash HQ & Rooms, or go to the Community tab on the sidebar (the cell phone tower icon)
If you used the Home tab shortcut, press Open Unleash HQ, and if you used the Community Tab, press Unleash HQ
If you are using Bugs+ In VR, follow these steps:
Go to the Home tab on the sidebar (the house icon), which is opened by default if no other menu items are actively being used when you go to the Immersive Environment
Press the Social Features & Bugs+ HQ floating bar that appears under the menu
Press Open Bugs+ HQ on the options that appears
What can I do in the Unleash HQ?
You can meet up with all sorts of players, and friends if any. You will be able to move around, and access certain areas. In the main area, where your screen is, other people can’t see, but there is an area where everyone can gather around some community selected widgets.
Even while on desktop, the desktop version still lets you move around on a 2D interface, but some features may not work on desktop only.
Does anyone own an Unleash HQ and if I own one how do I use the tools?
The first person to join is the Admin of the Unleash HQ. They get to choose what environment the VR version is in, like Flapping Butterflies, or Praying Mantises. They can’t choose Creepy Spiders just in case someone gets scared. They also get to choose the Theme of the Desktop version and the VR version, they can choose from Blue (default), Red, Yellow and Green. They can‘t kick or ban users, to prevent people from being rude. You will be asked when you are the first to join to choose a theme and environment.
If you are an Admin, follow these steps to use your Tools:
Go to the area that shows your personal Menu or Respawn via the Action Bar. This step is not required on Desktop.
Press the Customise button, or if you are on Desktop, press Change Theme.
Select an Environment and Theme.
How do I move around?
In Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms, you can move around in different ways, based on what platform you are using.
If you are using Bugs+ In VR:
Look down for the arrows, and look at the direction arrow you want to move in. You won’t move in a tiny amount, it will be more steps every click, to make up for the 2 second wait. This also makes it easier.
How to move on Desktop:
Simply use your arrow keys to move.
What can I do in the Unleash HQ?
You can do the following things:

See the community picked Immersive Objects. These change and include relevant data, and if it is a Bug Points, Stars, Levels & XP object, it will show combined data. On Desktop, you can see the objects in 2D but they won’t look immersive.

Community Picked Immersive Object
Now and then, Immersive Objects will change time to time in Unleash HQ. They will feature combined totals of user’s points, tips, Quiz Of The Day, and other things. You can still see the widgets in 2D on Desktop, but it may not be immersive, and Action Buttons won‘t work until you use Bugs+ In VR.
Customise your Avatar
Your Avatar is your virtual face and body that will be shown to others and friends when you are in Unleash HQ or Unleash Rooms. You can change it how you like it as well.
How To Change Your Avatar:
Go to the Community tab on the sidebar (the Community icon)
Press Community Avatar
Customise & Save your new avatar
About chatting with each other
You can talk with each other, in Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms. To prevent swearing and abuse, plus make it faster to send messages, there are pre defined messages you can send, but there is a big list of them. Follow these steps to send messages:
Press the message bubble icon
Choose a message to send
Hit Send!
Everyone near you will be able to see your message. It will appear above your avatar for up to 9 seconds.
Invite Friends to the Unleash HQ you are in
If there are less than 9 players you can invite your friends to the Unleash HQ you are in. Your friend has to be in your Friends List and has to be online to get your request. To do this, follow these steps:
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, go to the Main area to your Menu screen, or respawn to go to it or if you are on desktop press the Menu icon
Press Invite Friends
Select a friend to invite
Hit Send!
How to Report a bad person in Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms
Follow these steps to report someone to the developers of Bugs+:
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, go to the Action menu, or if you are on Desktop, press the Menu icon
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, press Press Investigate & Report or if you are on Desktop press Report A Player
Select the reason for reporting
Select the user to report
Hit Send when you are ready
False or prank reports are not allowed and if someone false reports will get the player who fake reported banned.
Is Unleash HQ basically an Immersive Environment?
Yes, it is. Unleash HQ is a shared Immersive Environment.
How many Players can be in a single Unleash HQ?
A single Unleash HQ can have up to 9 players. If someone joins after 9 players, a new seperate Unleash HQ will be created. However, users can use Social Vouchers (which we will get to soon) to expand the size of the Unleash HQ they are in.
How to Friend someone while in a Unleash HQ
You can friend someone by following these steps.
If the player you want to friend is in the same Unleash HQ as you, follow these steps:
If you are in Bugs+ In VR, hover over a player‘s name with the dot and look at the, or if you are on Desktop, press on the user you want to friend
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, look at the High Five to Friend button that appears for 2 seconds or select it with your controller, or if you are on Desktop, press High Five to Send Friend Request
They other player will get your Friend Request on their screen. They can approve it, or reject it.
If the player you want to friend is currently not in the same Unleash HQ or are not currently in a Unleash HQ:
Go to the Community Tab on the sidebar (the cell phone tower icon)
Press Friends List
Press Send Friend Request
Enter the friend’s username
Confirm
The friend you sent a friend request to will get a notification which then they can accept the request by going to their Friends List and approving it.
How do I leave an Unleash HQ or Unleash Room?
Follow these steps to do this:
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, go to the Action Bar. If you are on Desktop, press the menu icon.
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, look at Respawn & Leave for 2 seconds or select it with your controller. If you are on Desktop, press Leave This Bugs+ HQ.
Confirm that you want to leave.
Note that this will do the Running Away emote and if the player who leaves is the last player to leave, any Community Crafts that have unused cashed in Materials, will not be refunded.
How do I respawn in an Unleash HQ or Unleash Room?
If you Respawn, you will appear back in the Main area of whatever you are doing, so you can go back to your Bugs+ Menu on VR, or meet up with a friend on VR or Desktop. To do this, follow these steps:
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, open the Action Bar. If you are on Desktop, press the Menu icon.
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, look at Respawn for 2 seconds or click on it with your controller. If you are on Desktop, tap Respawn.
How to use the Emotes Wheel
You can use the Emotes system to unleash the power of some fun and show your reactions. Emotes stay up for 6 seconds, then vanish, and show near the Avatar that did it.
To use an Emote, open the Chat menu, then press Emotes on Bugs+ In VR (or on Desktop, press the the smile icon, no need to go in the Chat menu). Then, select the Emote you want to use.
What emotes can I use?
Here is a list of the emotes you can use in the Emotes Wheel:
Immersive High Five - This makes your Avatar start to get ready to High Five. Players can join in the High Five by pressing High Five Back on the Immersive Notification. When another player high fives the other player, the high five will hold in after doing it. You can stop holding the high five by pressing Done. Holding the high five for 2 seconds will send a Friend Request to the other user, and it being automaticity accepted. This adds more fun to the High Five system.
Love Heart - This shows a Love Heart next to the user who did the Emote.
Smile - This shows a smile face next to the user who did the emote.
Unleash It! - This emote shows a dog and a bug getting unleashed. Useful for when talking about unleashing the power of Bugs+.
When do Emotes automatically get used?
Sometimes, Emotes may be automatically used to celebrate certain things. Here is a list of when this happens:
Running Away - When a player uses Respawn & Leave, or the leave function in general, shows the user saying Bye Bye, see you later, then they will run, then they will leave.
Celebration Clapping - When someone accepts a friend request, and the person who sent it is in the same Unleash HQ or Unleash Rooms, or uses High Five and it involves a friend request being accepted, both the users will start clapping for a bit, and a big banner saying that they became friends together will fly up, then disappear after a few seconds.
Confetti - This happens when someone finishes a big high value personal craft or refund, eligible for the Scrolling Feed or Worlds Replay, or when any Community Crafting is completed. Confetti will rain down from the sky for a bit, and a gigantic banner will show up showing info about the achievement. Unlike other Emotes, this Emote stays active for 12 seconds, plus gives everyone an Immersive Notification on Bugs+ In VR, or popup on Desktop.
Can I use menus while in Unleash HQ or Unleash Rooms?
Yes you can. Just go to the Bugs+ Menu are in the Main Area in Bugs+ In VR and do what you need to do, or on desktop, press the Menu icon, then press Respawn & Multitask. This will respawn you if you are not near where normally the big menu is, but you can multitask and switch screens without leaving.
About the Discovery Area within Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms
Each Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms instance comes with a dedicated Discovery Area.
You can find the Discovery Area by going forward from the main area (where your Menu is, or on Desktop, the spawn area) until you see a area labelled Discovery Area.

About the Community Crafting Table in the Unleash HQ
The Community Crafting Table is a place users can gather around to craft something as a team effort. Players can cash in Materials to rush the timer and add materials toward the crafting. Every user in that Unleash HQ will get the item if it crafts, for the price of one item.
To get started, a user will need to call a Community Crafting Meeting. Users will be able to vote on a material to craft, and cash in Materials if they want.
There can be 1 item crafting at a time in the Community Crafting, but users can cash in extra materials to temporarily add more upgrades to the community crafting for the length of that Unleash HQ instance.
After a Community Craft starts, it can’t be cancelled. Users can‘t do their own crafting if a Community Crafting session is in progress and they are in the same instance of Unleash HQ. In Community Crafting, crafts last much shorter than the time mentioned, and waiting more than 20 minutes is not a thing in Community Crafting.
There must be 2 or more players in that Unleash HQ to start it, and it will be automatically cancelled if 2 or more users don’t vote on the crafting.
How can I call a Community Crafting Meeting in the Unleash HQ?
Follow these steps to call a Community Crafting Meeting:
To start a Community Crafting Meeting, on Bugs+ In VR, go to the crafting table near the Main area. Or, On Desktop, move to the Crafting Table area.
On Bugs+ In VR, look at the Call Community Crafting Meeting button for 2 seconds, or press on it with your controller. Or, on Desktop, tap on the table.
Confirm that you want to start a meeting.
Please note that there needs to be 2 or more players including you to start the meeting.
Everyone will be notified with an Immersive Notification if they are on Bugs+ In VR, or if they are on Desktop, they will be notified with a popup notification. Users can take action on the notification by moving to the Crafting Table. If they are far away from it, they will have an option to teleport near the crafting table.
How do I vote on a Community Crafting Meeting?
In Community Crafting Meetings, you can vote on what to craft and chat with each other to decide. Meetings will last for up to 2 minutes. After everyone votes or the time ticks down, the most voted item will be picked. 2 or more players needs to decide on something. If there are not 2 or more votes by the end, the craft will be cancelled.
After the meeting, users will need to cash in materials to fund the item that is being crafted. Users will be prompted to, and if there is not enough, users can go back to the Crafting Table to cash in more materials.
Why would users need to cash in Materials for Community Crafting Meetings?
Users will have the ability to give Materials to the Crafting Table. This helps fund for the materials required to do the Community Crafting. After the voting and if a thing to craft has been decide, users can start cashing in Materials. After the prompt, users can go back to the Crafting Table if they want to cash in extra materials if some is needed. You will get reminders if more Materials are needed or recommended.
To add extra Materials, follow these steps:
To cash in more Materials if needed by the Community Crafting Meeting, on Bugs+ In VR, go to the crafting table near the Main area. Or, On Desktop, move to the Crafting Table area.
On Bugs+ In VR, look at the Cash In Materials button for 2 seconds, or press on it with your controller. Or, on Desktop, tap on the table.
On Bugs+ In VR, select how many Materials to cash in. Or, on Desktop, tap the Cash In Materials button
On Bugs+ In VR, confirm. Or, on Desktop, choose how many materials to cash in, then confirm.
Sometimes you may even be able to make the crafting table allow more than 1 craft at a time!
How many Materials can I cash in at a time and what are the options?
You can choose from these options to cash in Materials for a Community Crafting Meeting:
2 Materials
5 Materials
10 Materials
15 Materials
20 Materials
30 Materials
40 Materials
50 Materials
70 Materials
Any left over materials will be used for any other crafts or rushing timers in that specific Unleash HQ instance.
How can I rush a Community Crafting Session with Materials?
Rushing on Unleash HQ will cost 10 Materials because of the extra users. To Rush a timer, you can cash in extra Materials to fund the timer rushing. You can only start funding the timer rushing after there is enough materials cashed in and the item starts crafting.
To Cash In materials for the purpose of time rushing, follow these steps:
To cash in more Materials if needed by the Community Crafting Meeting, on Bugs+ In VR, go to the crafting table near the Main area. Or, On Desktop, move to the Crafting Table area.
On Bugs+ In VR, look at the Rush The Timer button for 2 seconds, or press on it with your controller. Or, on Desktop, tap on the table.
On the next screen, press “Acknowledge“ to agree that rushing the timer costs mate
On Bugs+ In VR, select how many Materials to cash in. Or, on Desktop, tap the Rush The Timer
On Bugs+ In VR, confirm. Or, on Desktop, choose how many materials to cash in, then confirm.
About privately hosted Community Crafting Sessions
Community Crafting Sessions are normally found in the Unleash HQ, but it can also be found in Unleash Rooms. To privately host a Community Crafting Session for your Unleash Room, use the Share Experience feature and in that menu, select Call Community Crafting Meeting instead, then confirm. A Immersive Material Exchange will also show with what you are doing, and the community crafting table will also appear.
How do I create an Unleash Room with my friends?
You can create an Unleash Room with 2 to 4 friends (or add more than 4 friends by expanding the room size with Social Vouchers) on your Friends List (including you, so you can even have 1 on one sessions if you want). You will be able to do lots of things with your friends in this private room. To do this, follow these steps:
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, go to the Home tab on the sidebar (the house icon) and press the Social Features & Bugs+ HQ floating bar. If you are on Desktop, go to the Community Tab.
Press Unleash Rooms
Press Create Room.
Select Friends to invite to the room.
You will spawn in the room. Wait for your chosen friends to join. Your friends need to be online, so make sure they are online to avoid time wasting, and your friends will get an Immersive Notification or if not on Bugs+ In VR, a notification to approve or reject.
How can I invite more friends to my Unleash Room?
If you have enough slots, or are ready to cash in a Social Voucher to increase the limits, open the Action Menu (or press the Menu Icon on Desktop), then press Invite More Friends. You will be able to choose Add Friends or Cash In Social Voucher & Add Friends, then select friends to invite.
How do I join a friend’s Unleash Room?
They need to send you an invite for you to join their Unleash Room. Once you got one, press Approve on the notification, or open the Community tab on the sidebar (the cell phone timer icon) and approve the request.
How can I let my friends see my Immersive Material Exchange or normal Material Exchange session while in an Unleash Room?
Your friends can see your material exchange sessions and info if you turn on the setting while in Unleash Rooms. This is a perfect way to show off your progress. Any friend can start sharing their material exchange sessions, but only one can share at a time. To do this, follow these steps:
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, open the Action Bar. If you are on Desktop, press the Menu icon.
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, look at Share Experience for 2 seconds or press it with your controller. If you are on Desktop, press Experience Sharing.
Select Start Sharing, or start a Community Crafting Meeting. In this example, we are showing Start Sharing.
Select a type of experience to start and share. Selecting one will start it, and show it off to your friends.
Confirm, then Send.
You can always stop sharing from the menu, but press Stop Experience Sharing instead.

How to Unfriend a friend from your Friends List
You can Unfriend a friend by following these steps:
Open the Community Tab on the Sidebar (the cell phone tower icon)
Select Friends List
Press Select Friend
Enter their username
Press Unfriend
Press Confirm
Your friend won’t be notified, but they may notice that you are no longer on your Friends List.
What is the Bugs+ Scrolling Feed?
With the Bugs+ Scrolling Feed, your friends are automatically updated via the feed that you and your friends can scroll through. Here is what you and your friends can see:
Major Crafting Session Completed - Once you craft a Legendary or better, or a Guaranteed High Value Info Guide, your friends will be alerted with an automatic post to the scrolling feed.
High Earnings From Refunding - If you got a high reward from refunding cards, your friends will be alerted with an automatic post to the scrolling feed.
Limited Time Card - If you get a limited time trading card, your friends will be alerted with an automatic post to the scrolling feed
Level Up - Every 5 levels, your friends will be alerted with an automatic post to the scrolling feed.
Gift Box - Every time you get a Gift Box, your friends will be alerted with an automatic post to the scrolling feed.
About Shared Tasks & Gameplay
When you start a crafting session, card refund timer, or limited time event, you can split up the rewards or work together with either your friends to help them, plus add a boost to the reward. The timed process or event must be in progress to send it, not finished. You can share with up to 2 other players (which means up to 3 players including you). You can do this by following the following steps:
Go to the Community tab on the sidebar (the cell phone tower icon)
Press Share Rewards.
Select what to share. You can choose crafting session rewards, refund rewards, or limited time event rewards.
Select the friends to share with.
Confirm it.
You can only have up to 1 Share Rewards session at once. You will be able to do another one as soon as it is cancelled or rewards are given out. You can cancel anytime by going to Share Rewards on the Community Tab and pressing Cancel.
When the rewards are given out, you will be notified, and an extra bonus will be added to every reward being split out.
In certain times, you may be able to work together to get extra boosts. This is in Limited Time Events. Other times, rewards from your work will be shared.
Worlds Replay
If a Scrolling Feed eligible event occurs, it will be added to a special gallery, located by going to the Community Tab on the sidebar (the cell phone tower icon) and pressing Worlds Replay. This happens even if you don’t have any friends to send the scrolling feed entry to.
How long does the Scrolling Feed and Worlds Replay store data for?
Scrolling Feed entries stay active for up to 4 days, then it will be removed. Worlds Replay entries will stay active for up to 21 days, then will be removed.
Do I really need Bugs+ In VR for these social features?
No, you don’t! You can use a Desktop, but since some of the social features are optimized for Bugs+ In VR, some features may be in different areas, may be 2D or may not work. We recommend using Bugs+ In VR when available, but you can still use a Desktop.
About Social Vouchers
Social Vouchers are a craftable item that lets you do lots of extra things (once off per voucher) on Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms - and it is cheap to. When a voucher is used the actions associated with will be done and that specific voucher will be gone, but you can get more or use other ones you have.
Social Vouchers can:
Rush Community Crafting Sessions - As an alternative for rushing timers in Community Crafting Sessions, you can also use 1 Social Voucher to rush 1 whole timer. It is like reserving specific materials for Social Features only. You also save 3 materials, so it is also a value pack.
Expand The Size Of Unleash Rooms - You can use a Social Voucher to allow up to 7 players instead of 4 once.
Expand the size of the Unleash HQ - When the space is filling up (there is 7 or more players) you can use a Social Voucher to temporarily expand the maximum players of the Unleash HQ you are in to 18 players instead of 9. As well as that, the system will temporarily prefer to let new players join the one you are in.
Give a boost to everyone in the same Unleash HQ as you - If you are feeling nice, you can cash in one of your Social Vouchers to give everyone a Gift Box with 1000 Bug Points, 10 stars, 25 materials, a Rare trading card and a Tip. And, it does not drain your resources instead it uses the Social Voucher you cashed in as payment. The game will remind you every 7 minutes if you want to send a boost (reminders will only send if you have a Social Voucher)
To use them, when an opportunity hits time, you will be prompted.
About the Personal Bubble in Social Features on Bugs+ In VR
If someone is touching each other or too close to eachother in Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms, they will fade out a bit on both the user’s screens (not everyone’s) on Bugs+ In VR, until they move further away. This is to ensure safety.
About Personal Galleries in Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms
Each user in Bugs+ who uses the social features gets a Personal Gallery. The Gallery is a free item that you can use to show off your collection in the Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms.
Galleries are shown in the Discovery Area of Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms. You can find it by going forward from the main area (where your Menu is, or on Desktop, the spawn area) until you see a area labelled Discovery Area.
Click on a Gallery to see the trading cards inside it. You can display up to 7 cards here. To change it, go to the Community tab on the sidebar (the cell phone tower icon) and click Displayed Trading Cards.
What are Duels?
In some cases, users can see your trading card collection if displayed in Personal Gallery. If someone finds a trading card in your Gallery that catches your eye, they can Duel it. They will choose some points to use as an offer. They can offer you Bug Points in bundles of 500 points, they can choose how many bundles to offer. If you accept the Duel, the displayed trading card will be removed from your Gallery and given to the person who offered the points, but you will get the Bug Points.
About the Joinable status
Friends on your Friends List can join the Unleash HQ or Unleash Rooms you are in. You can change this in your Settings. You can choose from Joinable (your friends can join you plus they will see you are online and what social feature you are using), Online Status Only (they can see you are online, but cant join you without an invite, and they can only see if you are interacting with a social feature if online), or No Status (your friend will see Active Status Hidden).
About the Portable Crafting Table
Even though this may not seem related, but it is. You can use it to boost community crafts plus your personal crafts, even while in Unleash HQ and rooms.
A new item as part of the Crafting System, we are adding in the free update is a Portable Crafting Table. It is available from the Bug Point Shop for only 2000 Bug Points. Unlocking it once, will unlock it for the lifetime of the Portable Crafting Table.
The Portable Crafting Table has lots of catches and limits, but it may help you in a quick rush situation, which is part of unleashing the power of Bugs+.
To open it, you can press the C button 3 times to bring up the Portable Crafting Table. On Bugs+ In VR, you can go to the Action Bar and press Portable Crafting Table.
Here is a list of the available features in the Portable Crafting Table:
Start Crafting - Here you can open a mini window where you can start crafting items and select things to craft. But, the catch is that you can only craft Trading Cards that are Common, Uncommon, or Rare, Daily Quest Refreshers, Bug Points bundle of 1000, or Tip Bundles of 3.
Rush All Timers - Here you can Rush Legandary, Ultra Legandary or limited Cards quickly without closing off the menu, or any other item if you don’t care about the window closing or not. Rushing other cards will close off the menu.
Upgrade Crafting Limits - Here you can upgrade your crafting limits remotely. You can only do this for the first two upgrades, then the 3rd upgrade will close off what you are doing and take you to Material Exchange to show a celebration message.
Open Material Exchange - This is your quick portable portal to Material Exchange. No matter where you are, you can open Material Exchange.
Call Community Crafting Meeting - This will remotely call a Community Crafting Meeting from where rather you are in the Unleash HQ. Can only be used in Unleash HQ.
Cash In Materials For Community Crafting - This is the only option available when a Community Crafting session is in progress. This lets you cash in Materials from weather you are on in the Unleash HQ. Can only be used when a Community Crafting session is in progress in an Unleash HQ.
However, after 18 unleashes, the Portable Crafting Table will automatically break and smash itself. This means, you will be prompted to get a new one, and you can’t use it until you go to the Bug Point shop and spend your Bug Points on it. However, 18 uses is a great deal!
Bugs+ Newsstand
We need a way to put all the latest news in Bugs+ in one place, not cluttered all other the place, like how the BugOn used to rely on emails and YouTube videos. The good news is that we are introducing a feature to do this, and we will call it Bugs+ Newsstand. It will be available the second the free update releases. When this happens, update your Bugs+, and Bugs+ Newsstand will unlock! This is a major improvement from our other Bugs+
What is Bugs+ Newsstand?
Bugs+ Newsstand is a personalized, central place for all kinds of news for Bugs+, all available for free with no paywalls, subscriptions, plus totally no ads or popups. You can see new or upcoming features, breaking news in Bugs+, new discoveries in Bugs+, new trading cards, interesting news and many more types of news.
You will also be notified when there is new news articles, so you can be ready to check your feed when there are actually new things to check out.
Where is the Bugs+ Newsstand?
We normally don’t change the Home tab interface unless there is a major, notable free update like this one and we think it deserves a redesign, and, this is a major, notable free update, so we will be adding a new button to the Home tab on the sidebar (the house icon, which automatically gets opened when you open Bugs+ or return from a full screen experience or quiz).
We will call this the Newsstand icon. It will look like a newspaper icon when viewed on the Home tab. Clicking on it will open Bugs+ Newsstand. To increase visibilty, it will also be available by going to the More tab on the sidebar (the 3 dots icon) and clicking the button labelled Bugs+ Newsstand.
We will be also adding the Bugs+ Newsstand in the discovery area on the Bugs+ HQ, and as an option in Share Experiences in the social features. Imagine if there is a Limited trading card in Bugs+ that you don’t want your friends or anyone in the Bugs+ HQ to miss.
What happens when I use Bugs+ Newsstand for the first time?
As soon as you access Bugs+ Newsstand for the first time, Bugs+ Newsstand loads for the first time or you get redirected to a Newsstand article (and you did not do the Newsstand questions), you will be asked a few questions to personalize your experience. After opening for the first time, this is what you will need to do and what will show:
Firstly, you will get a greeting message - Bugs+ Newsstand will give you a welcome message and a short description with what Bugs+ Newsstand actually is and what it does just in case you don’t know. After reading that, tap Next.
Then, select what you define breaking news as in Bugs+ - You will have an opportunity to make the Bugs+ Newsstand article display more personalized. This means you can select what you want breaking news to actually mean on your Bugs+ Newsstand. Select from Latest Major Updates and News or Everything in the last week.
After that, you are ready to go off and start reading Bugs+ Newsstand articles - No complicated setup, you are free to go off and start using Bugs+ Newsstand without needing to do the greeting process again.
How can I read Bugs+ Newsstand articles?
Press the newspaper icon by going to the Home tab on the sidebar (the house icon) and then select the Newspaper icon, or use any other method that opens Bugs+ Newsstand. Then, you will see a feed with headlines and short descriptions. Tap on a headline to enter full screen view, where you can view and take action on a Newsstand article.
The feed within Bugs+ Newsstand has pages. To move between pages, you need to either scroll down or up using the trackpad, use the arrow keys on your keyboard, or use the on-screen arrow keys.
When in an article, you can scroll the same way - you can to scroll down or up using the trackpad, use the arrow keys on your keyboard, or use the on-screen arrow keys.
Upvote or downvote a news article
As long as the news article is still on the first 3 pages of Bugs+ Newsstand, you can give feedback to the publisher. To do this, click on a Newsstand article to open it in full screen, and find the up and down buttons.
Click on the up button for up votes, which are used for quality, necessary and useful articles, and click on the down button for down votes, which are used for rushed, bad quality, non necessary and useless articles.
The person who made the article will be notified, plus continuous downvotes may result in article removal.
Filter out old Newsstand articles
If you would rather be blocked from scrolling too far and getting to old articles, you can filter out Bugs+ Newsstand articles that are outdated. This only filters out it from your feed, not opening the article from clicking on a link inside Bugs+ that links to the Newsstand article. To do this, follow these steps:
Open Bugs+ Newsstand first. Press the newspaper icon by going to the Home tab on the sidebar (the house icon) and then select the Newspaper icon, or use any other method that opens Bugs+ Newsstand.
Open the Bugs+ Newsstand settings. - Tap the gear icon with a Settings label next to it on your feed to open your Bugs+ Newsstand settings.
Tap Feed Quality & Outdated Articles - On the Settings, tap Feed Quality & Outdated Articles.
Select an option - Under Outdated Articles, select an option of when to hide articles. By default, it is set to When Bugs+ Does It. You can select from various options.
Here is the options you can select from for Outdated Articles hiding:

After 5 Pages
After 4 Pages
How does the Bugs+ Newsstand feed work?
There will be 4 to 8 articles per page. Each article will show up as a box with a short headline, and if there is space and it is worth it, the first few sentences of the article. Clicking on it opens full screen mode where you can scroll through the article, upvote and downvote. You will be able to move between pages as well.
Articles are only about Bugs+ related things.
How do I track BugOn 2026 related info and onwards tasks and more in one place using Bugs+ Newsstand?
As well as we publishing articles relating to BugOn during or new BugOn events, during a BugOn, a banner will appear on the top of the first page on the Bugs+ Newsstand feed, which tapping on it, will let you see your BugOn tasks and vaildiate them, without contacting support. For users that prefer the contacting support method or are having trouble with Newsstand, we still support it, and will be available as a legacy option.
This will be available on BugOn 2026 or later events, and has not been available as an option in past events.
This is due to user feedback about contacting support being not necessary for tasks like getting Bug Points or stars, but we accept our new method for every task.
How will I get notified of new Bugs+ Newsstand articles?
We may notify you via popups when there is a article you should check out. We check for new articles every time you open Bugs+. If we find a new article, we will notify you a few minutes after Bugs+ finishes loading up.
You can also change this like if you don’t want to be notified of new articles or want to get article notifications back after turning it off.
Action Button
This is the ease of use improvement we were talking about. This makes it easy to access actions you use a lot, all without navigating though menus. And. It is totally customizable, you can choose exactly what it does from our collection of actions.
How do I activate the Action?
You can use the Action Button in different ways, based on what device you are using.
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, and have a Bluetooth controller connected, simply press the Y button on your controller.
If you are on Bugs+ In VR, and don’t have a Bluetooth controller connected (and are using look for 2 seconds to select), look down at the A button at the ground, and look at it for 2 seconds to select. You can also do this in Bluetooth mode, as well as looking for 2 seconds to select.
If you are on Desktop, simply press A 3 times on your keyboard. Sometimes a A icon will appear encouraging you to use your action, you can also click it to use the Action.
What is the default action?
By default on Bugs+ In VR, the general action is set to Turn Passthrough On Or Off. This is a big unleashing key for safety.
But, by default on Desktop, it will open your Collection tab. This may close off what you are doing, but sometimes in quizzes it will give you a quick overview on your Collection.
By default in Social Activities like Unleash HQ and Unleash Rooms, it will High Five the nearest player to you without confirmation.
By default while crafting, it will Rush All Crafting sessions. You don’t need a portable crafting table for this action if you are in the Crafting menu or Immersive Material Exchange.
However, these can be changed.
How can I change the Action Button‘s action?
You can select actions for these categories. Categories come in handy when selecting what Action should be done at what time:
General - This will apply when you are in any activity except activities that are eligible for another category. Useful for spawning quick commands whenever you need it.
HQ & Social - This will apply when at the Unleash HQ, or when in Unleash Rooms.
Crafting - This will apply while you are Crafting something.
But, what if someone uses it to spam high fives?
If someone tries to spam high fives, either with the action button or manually, Investigate & Report them (or on desktop, Report A Player). This is one of the many reasons for reporting.
How can I change the Action Button?
To change the Action button, go to Settings, select Action Button, then:

What types of actions can I choose from?
We have a wide range of actions, from doing high fives and rushing craft timers to using the AI refund assistant, we have as many as you can think of! Plus, contact support if you need an action we don’t have, and we will add it for you, plus everyone who needs it!
Personal Dog
Another useful feature we are adding is a personal dog companion is coming to help you unleash the power of Bugs+! It can help you with all sorts of things.
How can I unlock the Personal Dog?
To unlock your Personal Dog, get to Level 31, then you should receive a gift box. It will contain 1000 Bug Points, 20 Stars, Your Personal Dog, and a Tip relating to how to level up and train your Personal Dog. You will then, after unlocking, go through a short tutorial on how to use the Dog.
How can I level up my Personal Dog?
Your Personal Dog also has levels as well - just like you do. To level up your dog, interact with your dog and do Dog Tasks for it. Your Personal Dog starts at Level 1 when it first greets you, and can go all the way to Level 16.
After Dog Level 16, the Gift Boxes it gives you will be more valuable.
The dog’s level’s is called Dog Levels, and it is different from your normal levels.
Can the dog die?
No, not at all. Your Personal Dog is always alive, and always wants to help you.
What can my Personal Dog help me with in Bugs+?
Your Personal Dog is more than just a thing that looks nice - it is a companion that actually helps you unleash the power of Bugs+. Your Personal Dog can do these things:
Give you Gift Boxes now and then - Just like normal progression, as you Level Up the dog, play with it, help it and it helps you, you will receive a Gift Box. The more you level up, the more valuable the gift. From Level 1 to 4, your dog will give you Bug Points, Common Trading Cards and Tips. From Level 5 to Level 9, your dog will give you Bug Points, Materials, Common Uncommon or Rare trading cards and tips. Above Level 10 to Level 15, your dog will give you Bug Points, Stars, Materials, Uncommon, Rare or Ultra Rare Trading cards, and Tips. On Level 16, your dog will give you Bug Points, Stars, Materials, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra Rare or Legendary Trading cards, Daily Quest Refreshers and Tips.
Daily Quests Helper - Starting from Dog Level 2, your dog will be able to bark, jump and show text to alert you when there there are rewards to claim, or new quests. But, starting from Dog Level 9, your dog will do that, but sometimes claim daily quest rewards for you.
Quiz Hints - Starting from Dog Level 5, your dog will give you 1 hint per quiz. Simply press Ask Dog For Hints on a quiz to ask your dog for help. On Dog Level 11, your dog will give you 2 hints per quiz.
Limited Time Card Reminder - Your dog will bark, jump and show text to alert you when there are limited time cards you don’t know about (or did not check the Shop for). Starting from Dog Level 4, your dog will give you a short Tip about how to save up for it, and if it is worth it and this time.
Tip Finder - From the Personal Dog Menu, you can ask your dog to sniff out potential tips to snap with the Tips Camera. Your dog can get 4 successful tips for you per day. The Dog will also snap it for you, and failed snaps don’t count towards the 4 per day limit. You will also be able to watch your Personal Dog while you wait.
Dog Commands - You can ask your dog to do all sorts of things for you, from the Personal Dog menu.
Can I name my Personal Dog?
Yes, you can. Firstly, go to the Personal Dog tab on the sidebar (the dog icon), then next to the dog’s name, press Rename Dog, set a name, and confirm.
The dog’s name by default is Personal Dog. Your Dog may still be called Personal Dog when referring to the Personal Dog feature.
Where is the Personal Dog Menu?
With the Personal Dog Menu, you can manage things about your dog, ask it to do Dog Commands, check on it‘s Dog Level and many more.
To access the Personal Dog Menu, access the Personal Dog tab on the sidebar (the dog icon). This tab will only show when you have unlocked the Personal Dog.
Here, you can:
See your Personal Dog‘s Dog Level
Tell your dog to do Dog Commands
See your Dog and what it is doing
Play with your dog
And more
How can I give the Personal Dog dog treats?
Firstly, go to the Personal Dog tab on the sidebar (the dog icon) then press Give Dog Treats. You can use dog treats right in the moment, and each one costs 300 Bug Points. Dog Treats levels up the Dog by a bit, but it usually does not do it straight away, it may take a couple of Dog Treats to do this.
Tell your Dog to do Commands
In the Personal Dog Menu, there are a wide range of commands you can tell your dog to do.

At 19 November, make sure update Bugs+ for the latest features. When you update, you will get:
A quick option to select the difficulty you want, which will show as soon as you update to the free update, plus info on how to change it again later.
A Gift Box that contains 1000 Bug Points, 10 Stars, and a guaranteed limited time trading card. Make sure to claim it ASAP before it expires (updating 1 month within this free update being launched)
A go-to guide about the new features that you can keep forever, even if this document is no longer on the website. If you update within 2 months of this free update being launched, the guide will be saved to Unlocked Tips, Tricks and Info. You will be able to read it straight away after updating. It won’t expire!
