Bugs+ comes with a handful of useful anti-scam features, and they are listed below, click one to learn more:

Anti-Scam Levels & Scam Alerts

Just at the moment the user is pressing the Accept button after a trade, and it looks scammy (some scam trades may not be detected regardless of the scam detection level), the user will be stopped from doing the trade and get a Suspicious Trade Alert. You can change the level as well, see Change the Anti-Scam level You can still override the alert, but be extra careful when doing this. This still goes off for friends as well as normal users since this is to prevent “trust-trading” scams. Trust trading is when a scammer is building up trust and using it on risky trades, eventually leading to a reportable scam. Trust trades can even take up to more than 14 days (2 weeks) before vanishing with the items or building up more trust quickly. During trust trades, unfriend the person and quickly contact support by pressing the S Key 4 times. Do not press Cancel or End Emergency Alert unless there is no emergency.

In the latest versions of Bugs+, some Anti-Scam features also apply to friends lists, like the suspicious username detection systems and new account detections also apply for adding friends to the Friends List (to avoid trust trading).

A siren will also go off after a Scam Alert goes off.

Report scams and abuse in real time with our emergency alerting system

Pressing the S button 4 times will show a 8 second countdown, will play a siren noise that will sound a bit quicker near the end of the countdown, then the normal noise again and normal near the start. during the countdown, and will contact Bugs+ Support and we will come and solve the issue ASAP, while getting in contact with support in real time. To prevent false alarms, this does not apply while typing, but you can quickly exit out of the page and press it. You will also get a shortcut on scam alerts you get. This is quicker and higher priority than low-priority scam reports. If you accidentally press that key too much, you can cancel it.

We will also get a hint of what trade or page you are in, so make sure to stay on that screen! After the countdown, use the buttons and text boxes to interact with support and watch out for messages from our team. Make sure not to abuse this or else you could get banned.

In some cases, it may take less than 40 seconds for someone to login, while you wait you can also cancel it. If everyone in the team is sleeping or idle, the alert will be on hold, the popup will go away and show a short message, we will send you a follow up message to your linked BugID Email (contact support to update it) as soon as we see your message. If you don’t get a response, try alerting us again after a few hours or after 1 or 2 days.

You can also mention trade IDs, users and more by pressing Add Resources.

To end the call after someone accepted it, press End Emergency Alert, then confirm it.

If we accepted it after the countdown, and it is an accidental call, please tell us using the messaging function. Otherwise, we may reply to you back unnecessarily via Email.

If you add resources, the person who you are reporting won’t get notified, and if we take action, we won't include your name or other reporters for privacy and trust reasons, we will just say that we took action based on our review.

Prank calls and fake calls are not allowed and will result in a quick hang up, and a warning or ban appearing when you next open Bugs+. Accidental calls are allowed but don’t do it too much since we may think it is a prank, since only our team knows who did the alert. Also only one other Bugs+ Support person can connect to your call at a time.

Enable Emergency Logging Mode - Bugs+ will collect info on what's happening on your screen so you can send it to us later in a new call or in the follow up or for future reference, you can even store up to 3 backups without needing to remove any, regardless of levels or Bugs+ Moth, and you may get a call back during this time. Duration: 2 minutes, updates every time you go to a different resource. This happens after the call. You will also be able to stop Emergency Logging from starting if it is not

Is something suspicious but not sure exactly? Prove it or think it’s a false positive with Quick Emergency Logging

You can now enable Emergency Logging and collect evidence for something that is not urgent but suspicious, with Quick Emergency Logging. Backups stay alongside normal Emergency Logging backups. The logging will go on for 2 minutes, and you will be able to investigate later.

How to quickly start a Emergency Logging session (your version must support the S Key):

  1. Go to the Account Tab (the person icon)

  2. Press Settings

  3. Press Trading

  4. Press Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre

  5. Press Start Quick Emergency Logging in the list of Features

  6. Confirm that you want to quickly start it and that it is not an urgent situation.

You can’t start logging if there is no more backup space, so make sure to clear up space first.

And there are many more that we added in with or without documentation here or other places or both, they may not be notable enough to share, but they will still help.

Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre

Help prevent and report scams, plus shield yourself from scams with the Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre.

You can access the Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre to manage anti-scam and abuse features on Bugs+. It even applies to your BugID if signed in, which syncs across all your devices! (some features sync while others don’t)

It’s not just for scams or for trading related abuse, it can also be used for other types of abuse or important support cases.

Steps to accessing your Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre (only available on versions that support the S Key emergency alert system):

  1. Go to the Account Tab (the person icon)

  2. Press Settings

  4. Press Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre

Try demos and test Anti-Scam & Abuse Features before they actually need to be used

You can demo some Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre features without triggering real alerts or annoying real people. You even won’t get in trouble for testing too much, and your action won’t get logged, and it’s a perfect way to practice!

Follow these steps to demo these features (only for versions that support the S Key):

  1. Go to the Account Tab (the person icon)

  2. Press Settings

  3. Press Trading

  4. Press Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre

  5. Press Demos on the navigation on the bottom of the page that will appear in the Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre

  6. Choose a feature you want to demo, and some instructions and a way to test it out without triggering real alerts will appear. If you don’t see it, update Bugs+.

What you can demo currently and how it works (some features can’t be demoed currently):

  • Scam Alerts (Anti-Scam): Get a feel of the scam alert popup and what actions you can take without risking a real scam.

  • S Key Emergency Alerting: Feel and experience what happens when you press the S Key 4 times, without annoying real people, including the countdown, the siren, the emergency call and Emergency Logging. (follow up email not included) Emergency logging backups in the demo will stay until you close or re-open Bugs+ and does not count towards the 3 backups limit. You can’t use the investigation, deletion, calling features while in a Emergency Logging after emergency alerting demo

Find & Use Emergency Logging Backups

Your Emergency Logging sessions aren’t just single use, you can back them up and they are backed up by default if you don’t cancel the logging or block it from backing up! Make sure this backups feature is enabled first, and it is by default. This includes Quick Emergency Logging backups as well.

Accessing past backups (versions that support the S Key only):

  1. Go to the Account Tab (the person icon)

  2. Press Settings

  3. Press Trading

  4. Press Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre

  5. Press Backups on the navigation on the bottom of the page that will appear in the Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre

  6. Select a backup

What you can do during Emergency Logging and in the backup:

  • Start a new call with the Emergency Logging data. Just press Call Using This Emergency Log (the countdown and siren will begin) or press the S Key 4 times on that screen.

  • Delete it if it is no longer needed or you need space for more backups

  • Request a non-urgent investigation from Bugs+ Support. This is not real time, and may take up to 5 days for a review, you will see the results and what actions we taken in Bugs+ notifications, along with a small follow up email.

  • Get an access code for your backup to share with Support if not using the other options but still contacting support.

Note that some Bugs+ Versions that support the S Key make the Trading in Account Settings called Trading & Anti-Abuse.

Is it better to use a version that supports the S Key or Not?

Alongside useful feature updates and new trading cards, we also add more features to the Anti-Scam & Abuse Centre and add anti-scamming and abusing features, so if you can update, it’s better off to do it now (and get more anti-scam tools) than get scammed very badly later.
